Neutral Question

When you want to ask for information about something you don’t know at all, you can use an absolute interrogative sentence, that is, a question whose answer is yes or no. For example, Núria enters a shop for the first time and asks the shopassistant if they sell Mandarins.

Núria: Teniu mandarines?

Train yourself.

Now it is your turn to try to pronounce a sentence with the same interrogative intonation. Imagine that you enter a shop for the first time and ask: “Teniu préssecs?” (Do you have some peaches?). After practicing, listen to how it is pronounced.

Ara hauràs de produir una frase amb aquesta mateixa entonació interrogativa. Imagina’t que entres en una botiga on mai no havies entrat i demanes “Teniu préssecs?”. Després de dir-ho, escolta com es pronuncia.
Now imagine that you go to the hairdresser’s and you want to know if they can take you on Saturday morning. You ask: “Puc venir dissabte?”(Can I come on Saturday?).
