When you want to ask for information about something you don’t know at all, you can use an absolute interrogative sentence, that is, a question whose answer is yes or no. For example, Núria enters a shop for the first time and asks the shopassistant if they sell Mandarins.
Núria: Teniu mandarines?
Listen again to the sentence that you just Heard. Listen to the sentence melody: the voice tone is deep at the last stressed syllable of the sequence (-ri) and then rise at the last syllable of the sequence.
Now imagine that Núria just met somebody and she wants to know if he likes football. Listen and watch the example.
